DrayTek VPN Routers: Advanced Security and Seamless Connectivity

DrayTek VPN Routers are equipped with powerful processors dedicated to AES, DES, and 3DES encryption, delivering exceptional VPN throughput while ensuring secure, encrypted data transmission.

Supporting all industry-standard protocols—including GRE, PPTP, L2TP, L2TP over IPsec, IPsec, IKEv2, SSL VPN, and OpenVPN—DrayTek VPN Routers seamlessly integrate into existing network infrastructures. Ongoing development ensures compatibility and reliability, making it easy to establish site-to-site VPN connections with other routers.

No Static IP for IPsec? No Problem!

The innovative “General Pre-Shared Key” feature allows devices without static IP addresses to establish IPsec tunnels in Main mode, enabling secure connections for laptops, smartphones, and other devices.

Management over VPN

Designed for building LAN networks across multiple locations, DrayTek VPN Routers support a range of features over VPN, such as DHCP Relay, Multicasting, Port Forwarding, and Central AP Management. Multi-WAN models further enhance reliability by enabling dual VPN tunnels from different WAN interfaces to the same remote network, ensuring uninterrupted service if one connection fails.

Get Notified for Connection Loss

Additionally, DrayTek VPN Routers provide real-time notifications via email or SMS when a VPN disconnects, allowing network administrators to respond immediately and maintain operational efficiency.

With robust security, flexibility, and reliability, DrayTek VPN Routers are an ideal solution for modern network demands.

Wireless Solutions: Seamless Connectivity for Every Need

A great wireless experience involves more than just connectivity—it’s about easy setup, seamless client roaming, and reliable performance.

DrayTek offers tailored wireless solutions to meet the needs of diverse environments, from home or SOHO setups with a few access points to midsize offices with dozens of APs, and even large enterprises with multiple branches. Each solution is designed to simplify AP management, ensuring effortless deployment and seamless operation across all scenarios.

Extend SDN to the Last Mile with VigorSwitch

While SDN core overlay infrastructure is getting well-developed, more and more Service Providers are now aiming their next step to extend the SDN services all the way to customer sites.

Customers are always looking for more services, more bandwidth, and lower prices. SDN’s key characters, including policy-based control and automated provisioning, help service providers to react agilely while keeping cost low.

DrayTek OpenFlow Switch Aiming for SMB Deployment at a Fraction of the Cost

DrayTek OpenFlow switch supports operating under standard mode (as a traditional layer 2 bridge switch) and SDN mode (supporting OpenFlow 1.3). With this flexibility, service providers can keep support and inventory simple, and easily change between modes upon installations.

Centralized Management/Maintenance

All VigorSwitches supports TR-069 protocol and can be managed by DrayTek VigorACS 3 cloud-based management platform. When operating in SDN mode, VigorACS helps to do remote maintenance with low cost; while when operating in legacy mode, VigorACS also provides configuration management.

Central AP Management

As the Internet gateway, Vigor Router offers a central connection to all the APs on its LAN. From the router, you can check if an AP is online, perform a firmware upgrade, save a configuration backup, or trigger a remote reboot. No need to logging into each device’s management page anymore.

Automatic Provisioning of VigorAPs

You can create a wireless LAN profile on the router in advance, and let the router automatically push it to any VigorAP connecting to the router’s LAN. Therefore, you can save the time and technical resource for setting up the access point when you need to add more of them to the network.

A Centralized View of all the APs

On the status monitoring page, the router presents a list of all the VigorAPs on its LAN, where you can see their IP address, operating channel, SSID of each radio, number of clients, and firmware version all in one page, and the AP offline can be easily spotted.

Wi-Fi Client Load Balancing

Keeping an AP from being overloaded and assure good Wi-Fi performance by applying a client limit or traffic limit to it. When the number of client or amount of traffic of a single AP reaches the threshold, make it disassociate the idle client, the client of the weakest signal, or stop accepting new clients.

Central Switch Management

Vigor Router provides a management platform for VigorSwitch monitoring, configuration, and maintenance. Applicable to all L2 managed and Web Smart VigorSwitch.

Get a Centralized Hierarchy View

On the status monitoring page, the router presents a 2-layer hierarchy view of the VigorSwitches on its LAN, where you can easily find a network device in the network topology, check their IP address, and find out the physical Ethernet port it is connecting.

Reboot PoE Devices Remotely

The router’s Web UI provides the options to shut down the ports of the switches immediately. For PoE switches, shutting down a port will also cut off the power supply; therefore, it allows you to power off the remote PoE devices, such as the wireless access point or IP cameras, directly from the router’s management page. You can also schedule a port shutdown.

Quick VLAN Configuration

The router offers a simple method to plan the VLAN on the switch. It presents the VLANs available according to the VLAN configuration of the router, the port connecting to the router is automatically set to a trunk port, you only need to define PVID when a port is a member of multiple VLANs.

Maintaining All the Switches

From the router, Network Administrator can perform configuration backup for all the switches on the network at the same time, no need to log into the management page of each device one-by-one. Configuration restore, remote reboot, and factory reset can also be done from the router.

Available in VigorACS 3

If the router is registered to a VigorACS 3 server, the cloud management software for all DrayTek devices, Network Administrator may also conduct all these centralized management features remotely via the VigorACS 3 platform.
